Lakyn

Hey, I’m

I'm Lakyn Savannah, a wedding photographer based in Lubbock, Texas. Since 2011, I've been capturing love stories in all their forms for authentic, down to earth, adventurous couples.  I found photography through my dad at a very young age (think film cameras), and I love it for its capacity to freeze moments in time, to document love and life in all of its wild and wonderful forms.

When I'm not shooting your wedding, editing my heart out or studying, you can find me in the backyard with my three dogs, enjoying our little cozy, backyard paradise or rewatching all Marvel movies/shows in chronological order and getting way too into the lore.

More about me

A photographer who’s there for you.

You are probably expecting a run of the mill experience where we send a few emails back and forth, exchange money, I shoot your sessions and wedding and deliver images and then BAM! I ride off into the sunset, never to be seen again.

You'd be wrong.

Those experiences may be for some people, but with my clients, I just can’t allow your wedding experience to be so impersonal. From day one, I love to know who you are, what makes you tick, what makes you cry with happiness and I spend my time with you cultivating that relationship. Why? Because we will already know each other and be friends, your photos will be a natural, candid portrayal of your relationship together - just think of me as the Lilo to your Stitch - I'm there to embrace and capture your crazy, wild love.

After it’s all said and done, I’m there for you. Want to vent about how frustrating buying your first home is? I hear you, I hated that process. Want to celebrate your first born with me with maternity photos? I gotchu. While it’s easy to think of me as just another vendor you’re hiring to make your day amazing, I am so much more than that. When you hire me, you get a friend for life.

xo, Lakyn
