All About a Spirit Ranch Wedding

One of my favorite things about Spirit Ranch is just how peaceful it is the second you set foot on the property. Spirit Ranch is located a small distance outside of downtown Lubbock, so it’s so convenient for planning a wedding or event. Not only is Spirit Ranch home to the most delicious restaurant, Escondido Grill, but it is also home to some of the most magical ceremony and reception sites we have here in Lubbock. Having a Spirit Ranch wedding means that your day will be beautifully set against the backdrop of the flowing water and 100-year-old elm trees.

Spirit Ranch is host to many different venues, all of which are perfect for different reasons. The first is their Pavilion. This beautiful building can accommodate up to 200 people seated inside and an additional 50 if you move your party outdoors in the shade of those beautiful trees. This is one of my favorite areas at Spirit Ranch because of the magical string lights and whimsy. The space is also frequented by the resident peacocks that roam the property.

A lot of brides choose to have their ceremony on the property in front of the elm trees or the water and then move their reception to the Pavilion. However, I have been to weddings here where they just choose to party in the field between the Spirit House and the Pavilion which brings me to the Spirit House! This quaint little house is the perfect place for you and your wedding party to get ready and relax before the ceremony. The 900-square-foot building is perfect for your bridal party and adequately doubles as a place to stay the night of your wedding after the party is over. Worried about where the guys can get ready and hang out? They can have the space over at the Canyon House!

I could literally spend hours on the property of Spirit Ranch. It is incredibly serene and offers so many options for photos. Walking through the elm trees is nothing short of magical and makes me feel like I’m in my own personal fairytale! With the Escondido Grill on the property, almost all of your wedding needs are taken care of!
